My two year diploma in Cosmetology/Beauty Therapy in 1992/'93 set me up for an amazing career! Today, I look back on almost 30 years of working within this industry.
My Journey
After receiving student of the year award for both consecutive years, I was offered a position as therapist at a leading Pharmacy in Welkom. I worked there for 5 years before moving to a well-known Beauty Therapy Clinic, where I worked for 2 years.
I was offered a position as Head Therapist of a new clinic in town and decided to take the opportunity. I managed this Clinic for 3 years and in this time also completed a correspondence course in Primary Health Care in Integrative Health.
It was time to become entrepreneurial and Sweet Serenity was birthed as my own Beauty Clinic in 2003. In 2011 it expanded to form a Close Corporation. I still love to offer my clients the highest professional quality servicing within an environment that is luxurious and will rejuvenate the soul!
